Departure of Patrick Nadeau, Executive Director of CPAWS Québec
Montréal, August 12 2015. It is with regret that the president of CPAWS Québec, Mr. Hugues Imbeault-Tétreault, announced today the upcoming departure of Mr. Patrick Nadeau, Executive Director. An employee of CPAWS Québec since the spring of 2008, Mr. Nadeau is stepping down to pursue new professional opportunities.
« On behalf of the Board and the thousands of supporters of CPAWS Québec, I wish to thank Mr. Nadeau for his tireless work with this organisation », declared Mr. Imbeault-Tétreault.
« As the 15th anniversary of CPAWS' Québec chapter draws near, M. Nadeau leaves behind a solid and passionate team of administrators, staff, and volunteers, who will continue to work towards the important conservation mission of our organisation », concluded Mr. Imbeault-Tétreault.
The Board has already begun implementing its transition strategy (details will be available here). Ms. Alice de Swarte, currently the Conservation and Policy Analyst at CPAWS Québec, has been named acting Executive Director for the duration of this process. Ms. de Swarte holds a master's degree in political science from the Université de Montréal and la Sorbonne (Paris), and has worked for regional administrations in France as well as NGOs in both France and Québec.
Furthermore, the Conservation and Forestry Project Manager Pier-Olivier Boudreault is still responsible for all files related to the forest subject, while the Communications Manager Murielle Renard remains the talking person for medias, partners, volunteers and the CPAWS Quebec community.
All the CPAWS Québec team whishes all the best to Patrick Nadeau!
